Welcome to the Shiatsu Society Directory
The Directory is a new service offered by the Shiatsu Society to its members.
Many of you would like to have a website to advertise your practice, but find the time and cost puts you off. You have to come up with a design, write the content, buy a domain, find a hosting company, learn how to upload the files, and, after all that, pay hosting and maintenance fees!
The Shiatsu Society can help. The Shiatsu Society Directory is a new service offered by the Shiatsu Society to its members. With this new service members can run their own websites hosted by the Shiatsu Society. Some of the benefits are:
- it is much cheaper than paying someone else to do all this for you
- the design is done for you, and there is a selection to choose from
- six pages of initial content are provided, you only need to fill in your contact details
- you can upload your own images if you want to (but only if you want to)
- you don't have to worry about uploading other files
- you are able to manage the site yourself (or have someone do it for you)
- your website address will be of the form www.yourname.shiatsusociety.org
- you will benefit from the Shiatsu Society's high search rating
and
- all for a low, low price!
Please note: the Shiatsu Directory websites are only available to registered Shiatsu practitioners (not students), and they cannot be used to advertise therapies other than Shiatsu.
I'm interested, how much does it cost?
There are two parts to the cost. There is a one-off setup fee of £55. After that, you can choose from three levels of support - and one of them is FREE! Charges are on a yearly basis and are outlined below:
Uninsured
If, after taking a look round, and reading the documentation, you feel comfortable maintaining the site yourself (or know someone who can help you), choose this option. You pay the one-off setup fee and that's it for the year. Total £55
Third party fire and theft
If you feel you'll mostly be ok, but want the security of having someone to help you out if you get stuck, then this is the option for you. This option is £94/year. Total £149
Fully Comprehensive
If you know you need a website, but the whole idea of running it scares you, then go fully comp. This will cost £136/year, plus the setup fee. Total £191
